We'll get free admission to the gardens and a chance to pick up some lovely local plants. More information here: http://www.chasegarden.org/events.htm
I haven't been to the Gardens but the photos look lovely.

I thought Saturday, April 10 would be good. I'll be sending an email around but feel free to comment here if you are interested.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4508020906484973557.post-62555353839292600052010-02-23T07:34:00.000-08:002010-02-23T07:38:38.811-08:00Crochet Sock Along?Hi Ladies,
I'm wondering if you'd like to join me for a crochet sock along at my house? We could spend an afternoon working on the sock pattern that Angie shared (let me know if you need it) and for those who do merit badges, it can help you get that Crochet badge hooked up.

How would Saturday, March 27 work? Please comment if you think you can make it or if another day works better.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4508020906484973557.post-40566926548624363952010-01-28T07:44:00.001-08:002010-01-28T07:46:16.369-08:00March 6 - Kristine presents on Victory GardensI'd love to attend Kristine's Victory Garden talk on March 6. How about we make it a chapter event? It will be at the Sumner Pierce County Library. We could also take a little tour of some of the cute shops in Sumner after the presentation.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4508020906484973557.post-82901314699725120972010-01-19T08:34:00.000-08:002010-01-19T08:36:52.335-08:00Next Meeting - let's pick our dateThanks for a great meeting, everyone!

Our next meeting is going to be at the end of February, after the Sewing Expo, for dinner and a little trip to Pacific Fabrics in Puyallup. Thursday, February 25 or Friday, February 26 have both been suggested. Please comment if one of those days works (or doesn't work) for you. Myself, I'm leaning toward Friday, February 26.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4508020906484973557.post-7973518935916804132010-01-04T08:48:00.000-08:002010-02-23T07:50:54.744-08:00Chapter Chattin' - blogs, podcasts, websitesI'm gathering up our chapter members' blogs, podcasts, websites, whathaveyou. If you haven't sent me your mailing address, just leave a comment here. (Not with your address but that I need to contact you!) Otherwise, I'll send out the stuff shortly. I'll also send out the driving directions and invitation for the Tea and Know-How Pow Wow that is scheduled for January 16th.

Thanks everyone!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4508020906484973557.post-78877408701508706942009-12-04T07:51:00.000-08:002009-12-04T07:53:32.459-08:00Wanna help a goat? How often do you get asked that question? I thought we might consider volunteering as a group at the Puget Sound Goat Rescue site located in Maple Valley. I'm getting details from the owner, so I'll update the post when I hear more, but if you are interested in helping out some goats who need some lovin', post and I'll make sure you get the information.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4508020906484973557.post-70360256653826668372009-11-30T08:00:00.000-08:002009-11-30T09:46:17.188-08:00Tea Time and a Know-How Pow WowLet's start 2010 off with a little gathering. I'm hosting a tea at my home for all local farmgirls who'd like to attend. The plan is to meet up and share a little about ourselves - what brought us to Mary Jane's Farm, what skills we've learned, what we'd still like to learn. For example, I know crochet and embroidery and I'd be happy to help someone else learn how.

For those that do merit badges, we could talk about earning some as a group. We can also make some plans for warmer weather camping, "field" trips to local farms, whatever strikes our fancy.

Interested? Please join the Bees in Our Bonnets in the 'Burbs chapter and post a comment here, letting me know you are coming. I'll mail you an invitation and we'll meet up Saturday, January 16th at 2pm.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4508020906484973557.post-45539391043804931862009-11-24T11:52:00.000-08:002009-11-24T12:40:40.991-08:00Farmgirls Wanted! Are you a "can-do" kinda gal?

Love to garden, to shop organically, to make things with your own talented hands?

Already a fan of Mary Jane Butters?

Located in Western Washington?

Then please consider joining the Bees in Our Bonnets in the 'Burbs chapter.

Energetic (or at least optimistic!) members always wanted.

Please visit the Mary Jane's Farm website and find out about contacting this chapter for membership.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2
